The same visible room can sit on different soil, require different foundations, cross different utility distances, face different hazards, and include very different permit, enclosure, and finish scopes.

Separate the building from the project
A product page may price a kit, panel package, or module. The total project may also require survey, design, engineering, approvals, site access, demolition, foundation, drainage, utilities, transport, crane, assembly, HVAC, ventilation, interior finish, path, landscaping repair, tax, and closeout.

Define use because use changes cost

Include financing, tax, and insurance questions carefully

This is not a recommended allocation. A difficult site or simple shell can shift the proportions sharply. Replace every share with scope and quotes.
Compare three project versions
The minimum version supports the approved essential use. The target version improves durability, comfort, or daily workflow. The optional version contains features that can be removed without breaking the main project.
Do not reduce foundation, drainage, structure, electrical safety, moisture control, ventilation, or required access to preserve a decorative upgrade.
Track the forecast honestly
Maintain original budget, committed contracts, approved changes, paid to date, owner purchases, and forecast final. Record credits, free products, owner labor, and excluded work.
Update quotes and lead times at decision points. A budget that contains expired pricing or unavailable equipment is not current.
